Eric "Cat Casino" Bäckman started his career in a suburb to Stockholm as a teenager and joined Deathstars in 2005 at the mere age of 17. Since then the band has been on tour with bands like Cradle of filth, 69 eyes, Korn and Rammstein to name a few. After quitting the band in 2013 he's been a session guitar player in 80's glam/sleaze legend VAIN and various other different musical projects.
In the beginning of 2018 he started writing songs with legendary punk rock frontman Hank Von Hell for his debut album "Egomania", and ended up writing the music playing the guitars and co-producing the record that after being released in november of 2018 has received praise for the sound, the songs and the guitars.
"It's not often you come across a guitarist as diverse as Cat, especially on a debut record with an artist they've never worked with to this extent before. It's a true testament to great talent." - Raw Music Tv
Cat is now back in Deathstars for festival shows in 2019 and to release a new record due this winter.
You can se them perform at festivals this summer including Wacken, Graspop, M'era Luna to mention a few.
