Randy Willcox
Artist
Randy Willcox
Randy's influences are rooted in classic rock and the funk and pop of the 70s and 80s. AC/DC's Angus Young opened him up to the world of lead guitar. Then he discovered a guitar hero in Randy Rhoads and everything changed. His influences are many but are well blended.

He is based in New York City and plays the guitar in Mrs Smith and The Rage. He is the Steve Vai to Mrs Smith's Frank Zappa. They can be seen regularly in the NYC metro area. Bands are his first love, but any opportunity to make music is a great one!

His band Triadic is currently re-recording their album Arrival and adding a couple new tunes for re-release in early 2019.

Randy spends a lot of time in his home studio and writes with various New York City area songwriters, musicians and Broadway performers. He has written songs for films including co-writing the theme for Showing Roots starring Cicely Tyson, Maggie Grace and Elizabeth McGovern and Uzo Aruba, of Orange is the New Black fame, who performed the song for the film.
